Tino Martinez came next and he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 1st of the season). Detroit managed 7 in their victory. Julian Tavarez(1-0) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Francisco Rodriguez got the save, his 3rd. The loss was charged to Jason Jennings(0-1). He pitched 9 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 walks. 'We just kept swinging the bats and didn't give up,' Munson said. 'If you just keep trying good things can happen!'
